THE NOTIFY LIBRARY OF ADVERSE EVENTS AND REACTIONS
Bologna Initiative for Global Vigilance and Surveillance (BIG V&S)
The BIG V&S initiative resulted from the Notify Project, which was co-ordinated by the World Health Organisation and the Italian National Transplant Centre (CNT), with the collaboration of the EU funded project SOHO V&S (Vigilance and Surveillance of Substances of Human Origin). The project was supported by global experts who gathered didactic information on documented types of adverse outcomes in transplantation and assisted reproduction and reviewed the cases to identify general principles supporting detection and investigation. This website will host the database of vigilance information collected by the Notify Project. The library will be maintained and updated on this platform and is intended as a communication hub for institutions and organisations worldwide collaborating in the facilitation of access to Vigilance and Surveillance information.
The database function is under development and will not be accessible until Autumn 2011. However, the site is being used in the meantime as a communication tool for all those who have participated in project Notify up to now. The current versions of the work carried out by the 10 Notify working groups is available here, in some cases still in draft form. Once the site construction is complete and the database is functional, it will be made public and will not require username and password for access.
