2% blasts noted in PB following respiratory infection/fever.  F/U BM biopsy was hypercellular (80-85%) with 18% glasts; megakaryocytic dysplasia.

Minisatillite polymorphism tested on CD34(+) cells. 100% donor origin in engraftment studies.

Donor had no evidence of disease at the time the recipient presented with MDS and no prior exposure to chemotherapy. Most likely to represent therapy-relatred MDS in the recipient, although could represent de novo disease (less likely).
